The General Medical Council (GMC) visited University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) on Tuesday 25th October 2016 as part of their regional review.
The Department of Clinical Education had spent the past 6months preparing for the GMC visit which include the submitting of evidence prior to the visit, communicating and meeting with CMG services, developing action plans for improving Postgraduate and Undergraduate Medical Education and organising the logistics of the day.
Overall the visit was a success with brief feedback being provided to the Trust within 4 weeks.
Formal feedback on the regional review will be available in the New Year.
