The UHL UG together with our team of Block Leads warmly welcome students into Phase 2. Block Inductions are held using a combination of virtual and Face to face teaching and our UG team will work with you to ensure you have the relevant information, offering an open door policy to help and assist at all times.
Each block is unique in its set up, timetabling and delivery but all follow a common theme in achieving aims and objectives in line with GMC guidelines. UHL Block Leads work closely with the Director of Medical Education UHL and Programme Directors at LMS to oversee and hone effective teaching delivery.
All third year students will receive a UHL user account including a UHL email address to enable access to specified read only programmes to aid and underpin the clinical experience.
All blocks in UHL in all year groups offer formative assessments – either written, clinical osce or both. This is excellent preparation for summative end of year assessments and helps students to evaluate their own learning.
UHL offers food outlets on all 3 sites including restaurants and coffee shops ; both UHL and UoL computers are available in libraries cross site and the hospital hopper offers free transport cross site. Maps are made available and Welcome information is sent out prior to every block.
